Public consultation now open: Long-Term Insights Briefing

The Ministry of Social Development and the Office for Seniors are seeking feedback on a new Long-Term Insights Briefing: Meeting the future needs of older New Zealanders. 

The draft briefing looks at how issues—such as housing pressures and rising living costs—may affect older people over the coming decades.  

The Long-Term Insights Briefing is not government policy. It is independent research required under the Public Service Act 2020 to support long-term planning across the public sector. 

How to give feedback

We welcome feedback from individuals, community organisations, service providers, and others with an interest in the wellbeing of older people. 

You can read the draft briefing and make a submission on the Ministry of Social Development website. Submissions are open until 24 November.
